Prof. Solomon Wale Okunuga

Solomon Adewale Okunuga, a Professor of Mathematics of the University of Lagos was appointed as the second Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) in May 2019.

He holds B.Sc. degree (first class honours) in Mathematics and a Master degree from University of Ilorin. He obtained his Ph.D. in Computational Mathematics from University of Lagos.

Wale Okunuga began his career as a lecturer from the Lagos State University. He later moved to University of Lagos and rose through the rank to become a full Professor of Computational Mathematics in 2011. He is an astute scholar with several published academic papers in the area of Numerical Analysis & Computational Mathematics in reputable International Journals. He has authored some Mathematics textbooks among them are Calculus and Mathematical Methods. Professor Okunuga has successfully supervised some doctoral theses and do serve as external examiner to many Universities across the nation.

In the area of administration, Wale Okunuga held many positions of leadership. In 2012 he was appointed as the pioneer Director of Quality Assurance and SERVICOM in UNILAG while in 2016, he was appointed Director of Academic Planning 2016 until he was appointed the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of JUPEB in May 2019.

Prof. Abiola Olaitan Sanni

Professor Sanni is a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria with 30 years’ post Call experience. He is a Fulbright Fellow and a Professor of Commercial Law (Tax Law). He occupies an endowed chair as the Lagos State Professor of Tax and Fiscal Matters at University of Lagos. He is a thorough bred professional with robust multi-disciplinary background.

He is a Fellow, Member and Legal Adviser to many reputable institutions and International organizations. He has handled cases at all levels of the Judicial System in Nigeria from the Tax Appeal Tribunal up to the Supreme Court.

Mrs. Osifeso Olabisi Yetunde

Mrs. Osifeso Olabisi Yetunde

Mrs. Osifeso hails from Ogun State. She rose through the ranks to become Acting Head of Operations until her retirement in February, 2018 at Ecobank Plc. She is an accomplished banker with cognate experience in different sectors of the banking industry.

She has served in several Committees/Board including ALCO, CBN RTGS payments scheme Board, and Disciplinary Committee. She is versed in the use of banking applications like Globus, Finacle and Flexcube. She has a research work on the role of Corporate Manpower Planning. She has also attended several courses and seminars which has contributed to her vast knowledge in banking operations.

Mr. Jayeola, Tunji Theophilus

Mr. Jayeola, Tunji Theophilus

Mr. Jayeola is a professional banker with over 30 years of experience. He holds a Masters degree in Public Administration from University of Lagos. He worked with Ecobank Plc in different units before he was posted to UNILAG Branch of the Bank as a pioneer Branch Manager. He broke even by the first month of commencement of operation at the branch and sustained incremental growth of the branch profitability. He later rose to the position of an Area Manager in charge of Educational Institutions/Faith-based and grew the cluster balance sheet tremendously in one year.

He has attended several courses and seminars nationally and internationally. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).

Mr. Segun Odusanya

Mr. Segun Odusanya

Has over 31years (with 16years at senior executive management levels) experience in banking (Corporate and Retail), Corporate Finance, SME, etc., in Nigeria and Africa. Previously served as Managing Director/Regional Head of Commercial Banking for Africa at Standard Chartered Bank Africa – covering counties in West, East and Southern Africa. Prior to that, served as Deputy CEO at FCMB, and Regional Executive Director Client Relationships at Standard Chartered Bank East Africa – covering Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.

He also served at various middle and senior level positions in Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria, Zenith Bank and erstwhile Chartered Bank Nigeria Limited.

He is currently the Group CEO of FSDH Group (a financial powerhouse with interest in Banking, Assets Management, Capital Market, Pension Fund and Fintech).

Mr. Odusanya was a University of Lagos Scholar, graduating with Bachelors’ and Masters of Science degrees in Banking and Finance from the University. He has attended various leadership and specialized courses in top notch universities such as Harvard Business School, Oxford University (SAID Business School) and London Business School.

Prof. Bolanle Olufunmilayo Oboh

Professor Oboh is a Professor of Plant Science in the Faculty of Science, University of Lagos, Akoka-Yaba. She is the current Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic & Research and member of the University of Lagos Governing Council. She has worked in both Public and Private Universities.

She has to her credit several research experience in Ecology, Breeding, Environmental Biology and Genetic Characterization. She has several research works in her name both at home and abroad. She was one time Managing Director of Unilag Consult Limited. She has won three Fellowships/awards both at home and abroad. She is a member of three different professional bodies and contributed immensely at committees, managerial and administrative levels to the development of the University.
